How the fit finder works.
The calculator compares measurements with reviewed manufacturer rows. It does not create a universal size or infer missing ranges.
1. Preserve each source row
Every runtime rule records brand, model, size, market, waist and thigh bounds, native units, boundary inclusion, loop type, intended-use tags, source URL, and review date.
2. Require compatible dimensions
A full match requires both measurements inside the same published rule. Overlaps remain multiple candidates. A one-dimension match is labeled conditional; gaps and conflicts do not become nearest-size recommendations.
3. Apply use only after fit
The activity filter removes dimensionally compatible models that do not carry the selected reviewed tag. It cannot add a model whose chart does not fit.
4. Verify the physical result
Every shortlist ends with manufacturer instructions and a controlled weighted hang test. The result is not safety certification.
5. Publish reviewed data
The site consumes dataset v0.1.0 produced through a schema-validated pipeline with boundary and failure fixtures. Source changes require review and a new published version.
